The Waggon & Horses is a handsome XVIth century inn standing on the main road at Great Yeldham close to the Essex/Suffolk border.  Great Yeldham lies on the old main road (ex A604) from Harwich to Cambridge, and is near to Halstead, Sudbury, Long Melford and Haverhill. Colchester, Britain's oldest recorded town, is only 20 miles away and the University City of Cambridge only 30 miles.  The Norman Keep (built 1140) at Castle Hedingham is only 2 miles away.  A great stop for STANSTED AIRPORT, 20 miles (40 minutes) away.
